EVERYONE WHO'S ANYONE
The fifth edition of Gerard Jones's site (full name 'Everyone Who's Anyone in Adult Trade Publishing,
Newspapers, Magazines, Broadcast and Tinseltown too') makes compulsive reading. No, not the 5,000+ listings of pubishers, editors and now producers in the UK, Canada and the US but the correspondence that intersperses the entries. Have a quick look, order Gerard's book Ginny Good and have an uncharitable gloat at the posting of replies from publishers and agents who ask for their entries to be deleted!
NAWG
Founded in 1995, the NAWG (National Association of Writers' Groups) aims to ‘bring cohesion and fellowship to isolated writers' groups and individuals'. Approximately 150 affiliated groups and 100 individual members at the last count. Check out the free competitions, listings of writers' groups, their quarterly newsletter ‘LINK' and the annual Festival. Once a member you can also find out the dos and dont's of setting up a Writer's Group.
UK AUTHORS

Click on 'Resources' and you will find a wealth of information – competitions, festivals, details of small presses and so on. Also includes several sections on specific genres – eg science-fiction, screenwriting, thrillers.
